Acne doesn't just affect teenagers. Adults are often surprised to find themselves suffering from outbreaks. Acne is caused when dead skin cells and sebum clog the pores of the skin. Sebum is a mix of oil and fats that helps the skin stay hydrated. Bacteria begin to feed on the dead skin and the sebum, which leads to inflammation and the formation of pimples or, if the inflammation is deep-seated, cysts. Acne that's left untreated can lead to unsightly scarring and dark spots.

Now, Blush Beauty offers their customers who suffer from acne their BioElements Acne Clearing System. These are three treatments made especially to fight acne.

The first treatment is the BioElements Amino Mask, which comes in a 2.5 ounce jar. This formula is abundant in salicylic acid and antibacterial sulphur, which eliminates the bacteria that cause acne. It also unclogs pores, suppresses excess oil and treats blemishes. The BioElements Amino Mask can be used twice a week. After applying it to the skin, it should be allowed to dry for fifteen minutes then rinsed. BioElements Active Astringent should then be applied.

The second treatment is the BioElements Active Astringent. Offered in a three ounce bottle, this formula is made up of 1/2 percent salicylic acid. Salicylic acid helps to decrease the amount of oil and bacteria that lead to acne. The client should use the BioElements Active Astringent after washing their face or after using the BioElements Amino Mask. The astringent should be applied with a cotton ball and not rinsed. The delicate area around the eyes should be avoided.

The third treatment is BioElements Spotless Cleanser, which comes in a three ounce pump bottle. It also contains salicylic acid and exfoliating compounds. This treatment removes make-up and also controls the bacteria and oil that can lead to acne. The client should spray one pump on their face, massage the cleanser in, then rinse. It’s best used in the morning and at night.
